Give me a "Franzbrötchen", a great crew, a strong story and I'm all in.

After 18 years as a DoP based in Hannover, my focus is on respect. I truly believe that when the vibe is right, the story gets better. For me, it's all about building a connection—with the subjects, the director and the team. It simply makes the film better.

My background at "Cineteam" in Hannover taught me how to work fast on investigative reports and documentaries. Photography taught me how to seek out the frame and wait for the perfect moment. Whether it's high-end docs, fiction or commercials, I've found that whenever there's empathy for the story, the result is exceptional.

One German TV Award 2025 and three Grimme Award nominations are perhaps the best proof that starting with a "Franzbrötchen" is always a good idea.
